About the PTO

The PTO is an organization responsible for supporting the mission of the school by:
  • Fostering communication among parents, faculty, staff and students
  • Helping to promote a comfortable, welcoming school environment
  • Encouraging and providing volunteer opportunities
  • Fundraising to support the mandate of the PTO including supplemental school equipment, teacher classroom funds, extracurricular programs, social and curricular events and teacher/staff support.
Our PTO members and leaders are all parent volunteers. Whether you can commit a little or a lot, your contribution counts! 
The PTO provides and supports many of the services our families enjoy at the Scholars Academy. And all of these are done by parent volunteers!
  • Run the library and book fairs
  • PTO Family events, such as the Fall Social and Bingo Night
  • PTO Fundraisers, such as GO PLAY SAVE and Back to School Kits
  • Coordinate Lunch Program
  • Monthly Teacher Treats and Teacher Appreciation Week
  • Support school Events, such as Open House and Night of the Arts
  • Environmental and Health Initiatives
  • Spirit Wear
  • Support for school through classroom funding, room parent coordination and school beautification

All general PTO meetings are open to every parent. Please consider attending to find out more about what the PTO does for the Scholars Academy or how you can help.  Upcoming dates and times are listed on the website and in the newsletter. 

Parent participation is a big part of what makes Scholars Academy such a great school.  PTO members vote on important decisions, such as PTO fundraising and budget.
